Hygiene Policy

Personal Hygiene

  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. This should be done as a minimum on entering and leaving the studio, after going to the bathroom and after coughing or sneezing.

  • Hand washing stations are marked on the studio floorplan.

  • Disposable paper towels are provided for drying your hands.

  • We do not provide hand sanitiser as it contains glycerol which has a lubricant effect between the hands and the pole. You are more than welcome to bring your own hand sanitiser.

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue.

  • Put the used tissue in the bin immediately and wash your hands

  • You are not required to wear a mask, but you can wear one if you prefer.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth while at the studio

  • Avoid any close personal contact (hugs etc…) and follow our social distancing policy

  • Avoid touching any ‘high contact’ areas where possible such as light switches

Equipment

  • Only use the equipment you have been assigned to for the class

  • Avoid touching any other equipment unnecessarily

  • Only use the cleaning products provided for your piece of equipment

  • Please ensure you have your own grip aid – grip will be available to buy

  • Cleaning basket kits are provided to each student for their class. Cleaning kit contains: alcohol spray bottle for cleaning pole, microfiber cloth for cleaning pole and a hand towel for sweat - there is also room for a drink and your phone. After the class, simply throw the towels in our laundry bin.

  • Double cleaning each pole will be performed between classes. At the end of each class, you will be asked to wipe down the pole with your provided cleaning materials. The instructor will then clean the pole and the surrounding floor ready for the next class.

Common Areas

  • Toilet facilities will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly before and after class. This also extends to door handles, light switches and other high contact areas.

  • Please avoid using common areas where possible, wait outside or in your vehicle before class until your instructor calls you in.

  • Our seating in the waiting area will not be available for use in order to reduce touch points.

Student Storage

  • There is a dedicated area for placing your personal belongings, which is cleaned with alcohol disinfectant between each class.

  • Please leave all non-essential items in your car, or your home – only bring to the studio exactly what you need for your class

  • Communal water facilities will be unavailable during this time, please ensure you bring your own water bottle with you for class.

Waste

  • Please ensure all waste is disposed of safely in the bin.

  • Please wash your hands after disposing of waste.

Ventilation

  • Fans will not be switched on and faced directly at students during the summer to reduce the risk of airborne transfer of viral particulates.
